Anderson has arrived!

Anderson Wayne James Smith arrived on Tuesday, August 2nd, 2011 at 11:20am via c-section. Anderson weighed 8lbs 15oz and was 21 3/4" long.

Lochlan's New Haircut

Sorry it has been so long since we've posted... life has been very busy! Lochlan is 14 months old now and in the next 2 weeks will become a big brother! Last night, Dale came over and cut Lochlan's hair. He looks like such a little boy now!

We have a walker!

On June 6th, Lochlan officially became a walker taking lots of steps, stumbling and getting up and going again. Now he is walking every where and trying to become faster at it, which means quite a few stumbles at this point but he is determined. :)

1 Year Photo Shoot

8 Steps!

This picture is of Lochlan taking steps on his own when he thought no one was watching. He is up to 8 steps on his own at one time now; although, he still thinks crawling is faster at this point. His first 2 steps were at Sydney's birthday party on April 30th. He has been getting stronger and more confident daily and now will take 8 steps, stumble and take more steps, so we are very close to him walking all the time.

12 Month Check Up

I had my 12 month check up yesterday and had to get 4 needles. The needles weren't fun, but I was a good boy and did really well. I was 26lbs, 5 3/4ozs and 30.5" long. Today I'm going to swimming lessons with Daddy!

O'Dell Park

On May 25th the weather was finally nice enough to wear shorts and a t-shirt and go play at the park. I played on the swings and LOVED them! Daddy also took me for a wagon ride, it was lots of fun. We brought Delancey too and he had lots of fun.

My 1st PEI Birthday Party!

This past weekend was my 1st birthday and we went to PEI. I had a PEI 1st Birthday Party with all of my friends and family. I had lots of fun. This picture is of Mummy bringing me my cupcake!

Lochlan's 1st NB Birthday Party

On Saturday, May 7th I had my very first birthday party. Mummy and Daddy are having two parties for me as one of them was in New Brunswick for all my NB friends and the other one will be in PEI on May 14th for all my PEI friends and family. I was spoiled rotten and had lots of fun. I got lots of new toys and clothes for the summer. Grandmum & Gampy surprised me and came back to NB (after Grandmum just left on Friday) for my party!!! I also ate my very first cupcake and LOVED it! Mummy and Daddy didn't think that I would even want to try it, but I ate the entire cupcake!

More teeth!

I cut 2 more teeth yesterday, Mummy and Daddy aren't totally sure how many I currently have because it is so hard to get in and see them, but I have at least 12 now. I have 4 top ones, 4 bottom ones and 4 molars. :)

Lochlan's 1st Haircut

On Saturday, Dale cut my hair for the first time. I was a really good boy and sat on Daddy's knee and chewed on my shoe.

Lochlan's 1st Easter

I had a great first Easter! The Easter Bunny found me and brought me all kinds of cool things.

I had 2 Easter suppers... the first one was at Marci, Jeremy & Kenzie's house on Saturday and the second one was at Auntie Lori, Uncle Miles, Taylor & Tyson's house on Sunday.

Looking forward to Easter

Hard to believe that this upcoming weekend is Easter. We are very excited to celebrate Lochlan's first Easter and look forward to the Easter Bunny arriving. This past weekend we spent a quiet weekend at home and tried to recuperate from the nasty cold going around. Daddy and Lochlan got to watch some hockey, clean the van and play outside.

Finally starting to feel better!

I'm finally starting to feel better and am looking forward to the weekend with Mummy and Daddy!

Lochlan is 11 months old today!

I am 11 months old today! Mummy and Daddy cannot believe that I'm almost 1 and they are planning my first birthday party!!! I'm working on teeth again, Mummy can't tell if it is 9 or 10 because I won't let her put her fingers inside to feel. I'm standing on my own without holding on to anything, crawling all over the place, eating lots of big boy foods, saying words like "Mum" and "upppppp," and my favorite cartoons are currently "Bear in the Big Blue House," "Special Agent Oso," "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse," and "Franny's Feet."

"Up"

Lochlan started saying "up" yesterday! He puts his arms in the air and says "uppppppp" or stands up on his own and says "uppppppp" - he is so cute!

Grandmum & Gampy

Mummy started back to work 2 weeks ago and Grandmum came over to stay with me for 2 whole weeks! Gampy came for a few days at the beginning and at the end of the 2 weeks too. We had lots of fun and Grandmum was a huge help... Mummy doesn't know what she'd do without her. Mummy is feeling very tired because she has my baby brother in her belly, but she only has 5 more weeks of work left and then she'll be on maternity leave again. Daddy is home with me for the next 3 weeks!

Mummy is back to work

Mummy started back to work on Monday and Grandmum came to stay with me for 2 weeks!

Mummy is only back to work for 7 weeks and then will be off again to prepare for my brother's arrival. I'm doing all kinds of things now like waving, standing up all by myself without holding onto anything and eating lots of new foods.

Daddy got to feel "A" move!!

Rhys' Birthday Party

Lochlan went to Rhys' 1st birthday party today and had lots of fun!

He was so excited to see all of his friends and play with them.

I tried to get a video of Lochlan crawling with my phone; however, as soon as he saw the light come on, he decided he'd pose for picture taking! :)

We have a crawler!

Lochlan started crawling yesterday. He was so good at just pulling himself along that we really thought that he'd never crawl and just go from pulling to walking. I noticed that he kept taking his pants off yesterday... I'd put them back on and he'd take them back off, then I realized that he could get up on his knees when his pants were off (his pants were fleece and slippery). Now he is crawling all over the place!

Standing up and Skating

In February I also began pulling myself up on to everything! I can stand up and play with my toys as long as I hang on with one hand.

Daddy also took me skating for the first time, Daddy skated and he pulled me in my sled and I loved it!

Birthday parties & Baptisms

February was also a month with 2 first birthday parties (one for Dylan and one for Kadyn) and Sydney's baptism. We had lots of fun at all of the festivities and I was such a good boy!

February was a fun month!

February was a fun month but we all were so busy. Mummy had to start picking up a few shifts at work in order to have enough hours to go on maternity leave again in the fall. So Grandmum came over and looked after me.

I'm growing and getting bigger every day. At my 9 month check up I was 24 lbs and 4 ozs and 30" long... above the 95% for height. I love watching "Special Agent Oso" and have started pulling myself up on things.

Winterfest 2011

Grandmum & Gampy came over in February and we went to Winterfest on the North side and I had a great time!

Baby #2

Jimpy came to visit!

Jimpy came to visit this weekend and we had lots of fun!

4 teeth

Lochlan now has 4 teeth! In this photo he shows off 3 of the 4.

Lochlan's going to be a big brother!

It is time to let everyone know that Lochlan is going to be a big brother in July! Mummy and Daddy are thrilled and feel very blessed.

Patriots!

Daddy & Lochlan watched the Patriots lose last night!

Teeth 3 & 4 finally cut through during the night, Mummy and Daddy ended up having very little sleep... hopefully tonight will be better!

Lochlan's 1st Christmas

We celebrated Lochlan's first Christmas and it was wonderful! We all had so much fun.

Lochlan was spoiled rotten and received so many wonderful gifts from everybody. The first picture is of the John Deere loader that Grandmum and Gampy bought Lochlan. The second picture is of Daddy & Lochlan at Christmas supper and the third picture is of Daddy & Lochlan on Christmas eve at our dinner before Church.

Lochlan @ 7 Months

On December 13th Lochlan turned 7 months old, he celebrated this achievement by standing up in his playpen and showing off his 2 bottom teeth!

The Accident

It has been a while since we've posted to the blog as our exchange student George, Alexie and Penny were involved in a very serious car accident on December 8th. All 3 are doing amazingly now and we are very thankful that miracles do happen.

Tyson's Christmas Concert

Lochlan went to his first Christmas concert early in December. It was Tyson's school Christmas concert and he was such a good boy!
